Privacy Policy

1. About this draft

This document is a draft of how ScrimLink handles personal data. Do not treat it as the final Privacy Policy until the owner completes legal review.

The operator is ScrimLink. Address and contact details will be published after the domain is registered ([ドメイン取得後]). The data list below matches what the current product actually stores — we do not claim to collect more than that.

2. Data we collect

Account: school email address, password (hashed by the authentication provider), display name (handle), and affiliated school.

Optional profile: time zone, display language, avatar image URL, and a manager Discord handle.

Activity data: team name, game title, team description, scrim posts and requests, match schedule, format, results, rating totals, and in-app notifications.

Coordination thread: structured proposals and preset phrases chosen by managers. Free-text short messages and automatic translation are off for now.

We may also keep aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics (search trends, match completion rates, peak hours). We do not ask for legal name, home address, phone number, or parent/guardian contact details.

3. Why we use the data

We use this data to verify school-email accounts, match teams and record agreed conditions, keep match history and notifications, show times in the viewer’s time zone, reveal contact details after a match is confirmed, and operate and improve the service.

Exchange match results do not affect competitive rating.

4. School-email authentication

Sign-up is allowed only when the email domain matches a registered school. This keeps the service limited to people at educational institutions.

A matching domain is a simple affiliation check. It is not an official endorsement or supervision by the school.

5. Discord handle visibility

A Discord handle is optional. Other schools cannot see it until a match is confirmed.

After confirmation, the other team can see display name, avatar, and manager Discord handles. Discord server invite links are not shown to the other school.

Guest (logged-out) views do not show roster names, emails, Discord handles, or free-text descriptions.

6. Why there is no open chat

Because users include high-school students, we do not offer open chat or DMs. Coordination is limited to recorded proposal cards and manager-only preset phrases.

7. Minors (high-school students) and the school context

The service is for high-school students and older. Younger students are out of scope, and there is no separate parental-consent flow.

Information visible to other schools is limited to display name, avatar, and — only after a match is confirmed — manager Discord handles. We do not show legal names or school email addresses to other schools.

Advisors and teachers may act as team managers. Supervision of a school team remains that school’s responsibility.

8. Storage, processors, and requests

Authentication and the database are hosted by infrastructure and auth providers. Automatic translation is currently off. If it is re-enabled, those texts may be sent to a translation provider.

Provider names, storage regions, and retention periods will be added in the owner-approved version. This draft does not invent a legal entity or vendor list.

To request access to or deletion of your account data, contact ScrimLink ([ドメイン取得後]). A self-serve deletion screen will follow the approved policy.
