Terms of Service

1. About this draft

This document is a draft of the ScrimLink terms. Do not treat it as the final Terms of Service until the owner completes legal review.

The service name is ScrimLink. The operator is ScrimLink. Address and contact details will be published after the domain is registered ([ドメイン取得後]).

2. What the service does

ScrimLink helps eSports clubs at educational institutions find scrim opponents and agree on match conditions (time, format, and related details). It runs two lanes: regional competitive scrims and international exchange scrims.

In-game voice and day-of communication stay on Discord or in-game tools. This service focuses on finding an opponent, reaching agreement, and keeping a record of the match.

3. Who may use it (high school and older)

The service is for high-school students and older. It is not intended for middle-school students or younger children.

Sign-up is limited to people whose email domain matches a registered school. The intended users are advisors or club managers and club members at those schools.

Compliance with each game’s age rating (CERO / ESRB and similar) is the responsibility of the team and school.

4. Accounts and school-email authentication

Creating an account requires a school email address, a password, a display name (handle), and a school chosen from the registered list. Passwords are hashed by the authentication provider.

Schools are selected from a master list. If a school is missing, contact support ([ドメイン取得後]).

Signed-in features are unavailable until the email address is confirmed.

5. Communication (no open chat)

The service does not provide open chat or direct messages between users.

For match coordination only, we provide structured proposal cards and preset phrases that managers can post. Team members may read the thread; they cannot post.

Thread content is retained. Free-text short messages and automatic translation are off for now (they resume only if the operator decides). Reported posts may be reviewed by the operator.

6. Discord

Match-day voice chat happens on Discord. The only Discord identifier shown to the other school is a manager handle, and only after the match is confirmed.

Discord server invite links are not shown to the other school. Adding a handle is optional and is done in Settings.

7. Prohibited use

Harassment, impersonation, registering without a matching school email, posting content that is inappropriate for minors, and interfering with the service are prohibited.

Even while this draft is pending review, the operator may restrict accounts or posts when needed for safety.

8. Disclaimers and changes

The operator does not guarantee that a match will be completed, or that Discord, game clients, or network latency will work as expected. International exchange matches display a latency notice.

This draft will be replaced after owner review. The process for later changes will be described in the approved document.
